Prof. Dr. İlkay Kuşcu is a geological engineer specialising in ore deposits and economic geology. He served for many years as a faculty member in the Department of Mineral Deposits at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University's Department of Geological Engineering, and also held the position of Dean. His research focuses on porphyry copper deposits, exploration geology, hydrothermal alteration and the metallogeny of Türkiye.
